RSD rotary sample divider rsd-30L-60L-rotary-sample-divider-wheels rsd-rotary-sample-divider-buckets

For the representative dividing of bulk samples from 30-60L. Ergonomic operation, hydraulic scissors lift, electromagnetic vibratory feeder. Three modules in one machine:

  • Continuous process: Continuous module using a vibratory feeder and a sample cutter with an outlet to take one or more representative sample and to collect the reject
  • Bucket module: Bucket module using a vibratory feeder and a set of sample buckets to divide the total granular
  • Bottle module: Bottle module using a vibratory feeder and a set of sample bottles to divide the total powder sample amount into (4,6,8,10 or more individual samples)

The feed sample is fed at a controlled rate as a falling stream that is divided either into one part or into equal segments by the action of a "circle" of segmental buckets being rotated beneath the stream. The unit operates in accordance with internationally recognised sampling protocols.

Features and Benefits

  • 3 modules in one machine enables continuous sampling and “batch-processing”
  • Due to a range of various bucket sizes the sampling of different volumes is possible (no additional machine necessary)
  • The individual sample volumes are variable. This can be achieved due to a wide range of available segment sizes.
  • Choice of sample container types and materials such as steel buckets and bottles
  • All parts which are in contact with the sample are made of stainless steel
  • Electromagnetic adjustable vibratory feeder
  • Ergonomic and flexible handling in variable working heights due to mobile hydraulic pallet truck
  • The rotary table can be rotated manually in order to move each bucket to the desired position

Working principle The rotary sample divider ensures precise and reproducible sample division by evenly distributing bulk material through a rotating feed system into multiple collecting containers. As the sample flows onto the rotating dividing head, it is split into representative portions according to the selected dividing module and ratio. This process guarantees dust-free, uniform, and reproducible division of powdered or granular materials, providing a representative sample for accurate analysis.

Rotary sample divider working principle

The LAARMANN Rotary Sample Divider 30-60L is built for representative division of large bulk samples using a controlled falling-stream principle. Material is loaded into the infeed funnel and metered by an electromagnetic, frequency-controlled vibratory feeder to create a stable and evenly spread stream. The stream is intercepted by a rotating collector system configured as one of three modules: a continuous sampling module (one or more cuts plus reject collection), a bucket module for granular segment collection, or a bottle module for powder division into multiple bottles (4/6/8/10 or more). Split performance is optimized by matching feeder settings with the rotary table speed (18–53 rpm) and segment/bottle geometry. Stainless steel product-contact parts help reduce contamination risk, while ergonomic handling is supported by the hydraulic scissors lift and adjustable working height for efficient operation with 30–60 L sample volumes.

Custom bucket segments made for your application

Custom-made buckets or bottles for rotary sampling dividers are specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of diverse sampling applications. These containers are precision-engineered to fit seamlessly into the divider's collection system, ensuring accurate and consistent sample distribution. Made from durable materials such as stainless steel, polypropylene, or other robust composites, they are built to withstand the rigorous demands of handling a wide range of materials, from fine powders to coarse aggregates. Customization options include varying sizes, shapes, and materials to accommodate specific sample volumes, chemical compatibility, and operational conditions. These tailored solutions not only improve the efficiency of sample collection but also enhance the reliability of analytical results by minimizing cross-contamination and ensuring uniformity across collected portions.

Rotary Sample divider Project integration

A rotary sample divider is a precision device used in sampling installations to ensure accurate, representative sample splitting from a bulk material stream. This machine operates by evenly distributing material through a rotating system of slots or collection containers, which systematically divide the sample into smaller, uniform portions. Its continuous, circular motion helps eliminate biases associated with manual sampling, resulting in highly reproducible results. Rotary sample dividers are commonly employed in industries such as mining, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, where accurate sample preparation is critical for quality control, analysis, and research. Designed for robust operation, these machines handle a wide range of materials, from powders to granular substances, making them essential for reliable and efficient sample processing.
