Rotary sample divider and vezin sampler installation

This LAARMANN project combines a Big Bag Sampler, Vezin sampler, and rotary sample divider to create accurate, representative sub-samples from bulk material streams. The installation supports controlled feeding, adjustable sampling speed, and reliable separation of accepted sample and reject material for downstream processing or laboratory analysis.

The Vezin sampler takes a representative portion from the continuous stream of falling material using a rotating sampling spoon. The extracted samples are then directed into a rotary sample divider, which divides them into smaller, uniform sub-samples suitable for analysis. Material that is not selected by the Vezin sampler is discharged into a dedicated reject collector, ensuring a clean separation between sample and waste material.

The installation is fully adjustable through its intuitive control panel. Within the Vezin sampler settings, operators can select continuous or interval rotation of the sampling spoon and set the rotation speed between 30 and 50 Hz. A speed of 50 Hz corresponds to approximately 0.6 m/s, which aligns with standard sampling requirements, while lower speeds—around 30 Hz (≈0.35 m/s)—allow for larger sample volumes when needed.

The hopper settings provide control over the three internal vibrators, allowing the operator to set vibration durations and intervals to maintain smooth and efficient material flow. In the vibratory feeder settings, the vibration intensity can be adjusted in percentages, enabling fine control over feed rate and material distribution.

Together, these components create a highly reliable, automated sampling system that ensures precise, consistent, and representative sample collection even from large or irregular material batches.
