Automated preparation cell for Copper Mine

This conceptual LAARMANN preparation cell is designed for copper mine applications where sample preparation and analysis need to be combined in one automated workflow. The installation is arranged with two mirrored sides of the cell, each containing copper storage, an LMC100D Jaw Crusher and an ABM – Auto Batch Mill.

In this setup, the sample is first crushed and then ground before being pelletized for analytical testing. After pelletizing, the prepared sample is transferred by conveyor belt to the analytical point, where X-ray fluorescence is used to determine the copper composition.

This concept shows how LAARMANN can combine crushing, grinding, pellet preparation and automated transfer into one integrated preparation cell. It is intended to support a more structured and repeatable route from incoming copper sample to analytical measurement.

How it works

The preparation cell operates as an automated sample-preparation and analysis workflow for copper mine material. On both sides of the cell, copper storage feeds the preparation line, where the sample first passes through the LMC100D Jaw Crusher for size reduction and then through the ABM – Auto Batch Mill for grinding. Once the material has been prepared, it is pelletized and placed on a conveyor belt that transports it to the analytical point. At that stage, X-ray fluorescence is used to determine the copper composition of the prepared sample.
